Hi, everyone,
Have you guys notice that our awesome friend here is kicking everyone's butt lately? Oh yes, I am talking about Maybelline. After my ultimate hero, The Falsies, then the beautiful ColorSensational Lip Color, now they came up with tons of products here in Indonesia! BB Stick and Baby Lips are two things, followed by The Rocket Volum' Express and finally... Oh, finally my wait is over!
Forgive me in advance, this is gonna be a long review.
Ladies and gentlemen, proudly introduce you my beauty destination, my long lost soulmate: Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Cream Gel Shadow.
Yep, that's a mouthful, but trust me, this is the only thing I waited dearly ever since their very first launch.
To be honest with you guys, I WAS NOT a big fan of Maybelline Indonesia back then, why? I think their product range here was sooo limited compared to other drugstore makeup brands and to what other's have in their country (and that's unfair). Don't get me wrong, though, but let's be real: what did we have last year? Previously, the only thing that I loved from this brand are their mascaras, like, Maybelline is the King of Mascaras for sure! However, pay attention here, my friends, however I must admit that today: Maybelline is the coolest and most trending drugstore makeup brand in our beloved country. Hence, again, my apology, I just can't stop writing reviews for this brand 'cause there're loads of awesomeness I wanna share with you all.
I even have tried their Fashion Brow 24hr Coloring Mascara as well, how cool are they?
OK, so let's get back on track. Their claim?
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
Dare to wear 24HR shadow.
• Ink technology creates 24HR wear shadow for our most intense, long-lasting color saturation
• Cream formula glides on without creasing and keeps color vibrant
• Ophthalmologist-tested. Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers
For your kind information, there're 5 available shades here in Indonesia: 40 Tenacious Teal, 20 Painted Purple, 25 Bad to the Bronze, 45 Bold Gold, and 35 Tough as Taupe. All of them are awesome, but I hope they would bring more colors real soon, though.

Just look at those beauties. These products come up in a round glass jar and black cap (complete with all product information on top). It's quite heavy, giving them exclusive look and the color coding is great (just put them upside down and you'll easily find your color). People compares them to MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot and swore that Color Tattoo is it's best dupe (some says the drugstore version is even better), but I never try MAC's before so I won't say a lot.
As I am a sucker for neutral eyeshadow, my pick ups are Bold Gold, Tough as Taupe and Bad to the Bronze. I got the first two colors about two months ago and the last one just recently, so allow me to go through one by one.

The first one: 35 Tough As Taupe. A matte, grey shade with a hint of warm brown. Who doesn't love taupe, it is absolutely one of my favorite eyeshadow color. Neutral, wearable, and looking posh, this is a perfect daily color. I love to apply it on the crease area as it will instantly add natural depth to my eyes and I also blend it around the outer corner. It looks OK on its own, but I like to add a little bit of shimmering powder eyeshadow on the center of my lids 'cause this color could look dull at the same time.
I can use it for contouring sometimes in emergency situation. Just remember to use it lightly and apply it with your finger so it does not look like you have dirt around your face.
One thing I don't understand with this color, the formula is quite dry and not so easy to blend though people raves the opposite.

The second one is 45 Bold Gold. This is probably my least favorite color, but gold and shimmer just never work so well on me. It looks too much for some reason, so I usually wear it for special occasion where I could do extravagant eye makeup. It catches light very well, though, so I like to apply it on the center of my eye lids or my inner corners.
Again, the formula is a bit dry at first but just be patient and warm it up with your finger before each application. It looks so glittery on me so nah for a daily wear.

The last but of course not the least. Everyone, just to let you know, 25 Bad to the Bronze is the ultimate answer to all of my eyeshadow issue and I knew it ever since I saw people boasted about it on YouTube. Allow me to have some moment to elaborate further, so first: bronze is the color for my eyes. Just like coral for my lips, bronze will never go wrong on me.
Second: I am an on-the-go type of girl so it's not hard for me to do my makeup on my way to office or business meetings, in the car, just everywhere. However, it was a lot of hassle before I found this foolproof cream eyeshadow. I mean, using powder eyeshadow could be a lot of work when you do your makeup on the back seat of a cab at 7 in the morning, right?
Third: it looks less glittery than Bold Gold, but it does not look dull like the matte Tough as Taupe. It looks way too pretty on it's own, it looks even more gorgeous and dramatic with other complimenting color such as matte taupe on the crease, black on the outer corner, a slightest champagne highlight on your tear ducts, or even a dab of periwinkle blue on the center of your lids. So what Bad to the Bronze do are adding the prettiest, natural yet shimmery bronze (or it looks like Rose Gold for me, one of my favorite color), it is super duper wearable, it catches light, it add generous depth and dimension to your eyes—it is the most beautiful eyeshadow from the high street I've ever seen.
It is sooo perfect I couldn't find a word to describe it.
As you all might've guessed, I used it every single day since the day I bought it and surprisingly people do give compliment towards my latest look. The funny thing is they just can't tell which part that looks good, but the only one brand new is my lovely Bad to the Bronze so I guess the color and also the finish of this eyeshadow just lock everything together.
The best part? The formulation of this particular color is extremely creamy and amazingly easy to blend with light touch, unlike the other color I have. I take it everywhere with me with a blending brush (or clean finger will do) and voila! I'll have the loveliest eye makeup from day to night.

The swatches, ladies, from left to right, 2 swipes each (for some reason, 2 is just my default swatching number): 45 Bold Gold, 35 Tough as Taupe and 25 Bad to the Bronze.
Now let's wrap it up with the pros and cons as always:
They are absolutely my favorite drugstore cream eyeshadow, why? (as if my admiration above is not enough)
Quick tip: with one way short stroke motion, take the product with your ring finger. This is the best way to warm it up, make it easy to apply
Cons? I think I can't recall one except... Well, sometimes it can feel a bit dry so make sure to moisturize your eyelid with trustee eye cream before every application.
Will I recommend this? Like, do you really have to ask? Girls, if you're interested, go grab it before I decided to buy all of them ;P
Love,
P
Now let's wrap it up with the pros and cons as always:

- It's an eyeshadow and primer in one little pot, you can use it alone or dap another color on top as you wish it
- Super duper easy application, for sure, just slab it on and it will glide like nothing else! Remember, practical is key in any beauty regime
- Very well pigmented, perfect color pay-off. It will give you medium to full coverage
- Available in most gorgeous shades
- Extremely easy to blend, even your finger will do the job
- A little goes a looong way. Just rub it gently and it will instantly add not only color, but also depth and dimension to your eyes
- Wore it for approximately 18 hours the longest and it didn't smear, didn't smudge, did't slip and slide! I'm sure it will last more than 24 hours, then, and I have super oily eyelids
- Lightweight, simply comfortable to wear it on daily basis and it sets pretty fast
- Ultra waterproof yet easy to remove with eye makeup remover
- Affordable, but then y'all know I'm a drugstore-makeup type of girl by heart. It cost me IDR 59,000 per pot, though please note I bought them during their promo period. It cost IDR 79,000 nowadays if I'm not mistaken
