One thing I love the most about New Year's Eve is the fireworks.
Inspired by the color of those beautiful things on the night sky, here I wanted to show you how to create an adorable look to embrace New Year.
So, get your lip balm ready, ladies :D
As New Year's Eve is going to be a looong night, make sure to start from clean face. Cleanse, tone, and moisture are BIG must and prime your face if necessary. Using a matte finish foundation, lightly dab your face with blending sponge for long lasting airbrushed effect and conceal your blemishes, redness, and dark circles under your eyes. Remember, though, less is more. You really don't have to wear any "mask" even though it's New Year :D especially if the texture of the "mask" is cakey—ugh.
Quick tips: if you don't have any blending sponge, just use a foundation brush in stippling motion then blend everything with your fingers to finalize.
Our aim is to give our face a happy glow for that flawless youthful effect. I don't think anyone wanna look tired at the beginning of 2013. Let the powder kill any shine on your face (glowing is wonderful, but greasy is a big NO), but be very careful when you are using your brush, don't let it smear your foundation.
For this look, I like my eye brows to look fuller with slight arch :D
I decided to use more colors than usual this time for my eyes: silver, shocking pink, taupe, teal, and white. Priming your eye lids is essential for this look because it will help your eye shadow lasts longer and make the colors pop.
By the way, did you notice on my first photo above that I suddenly have double lids? All thanks to my reliable eye lid tape!

Now, load your smudging brush with the shimmery silver eye shadow and cover your entire lid with this color. Make sure everything sets before you move on to the next color.
Next, taking the matte shocking pink eye shadow, mix it slightly with the taupe color using a small dome brush. Very lightly, run this color on your outer corner and bring it through your crease area. Don't do this step in rush, take your time and build up the intensity like so.
I know shocking pink sounds scary on your eyes, but this color will complement the silver eye shadow and make your eyes look more vibrant. Don't forget to blend to get rid any harsh line :)

Using a small flat eye shadow brush, take the matte teal eye shadow and line your outer lower lash line. You can choose other color, though, but I think this color is gorgeous for New Year, so teal it is.
Little interruption from my Baby Nu! Yeah, I know she needs bath.
Anyway, you'll need glittery white eye shadow for this look.

Carefully, dab the glittery white eye shadow on your tear duct and your inner lower lash line. Using a flat eye shadow brush, add the glittery eye shadow to the center on your eye lids as well (only to the center, ladies, because this part of your eyes will catch the lights).
I totally love these colors.
Liquid eye lining can be a trouble for some people, sometimes I have difficulties to do this part, too.
My trick is simple: I like to line my eyes with gel eye liner first because I'll have better control on this product rather than on liquid. So, line your upper lash line neatly as close to your lash line, not too thin, not too thick as well.
To add more drama and life, wing them out a bit. An instant way to create flirty look!

Now you can easily line your eyes with black liquid eye liner by following the line you've created with the gel eye liner (you can use pencil eye liner instead of gel). Trust me, you want your eyes to look very intense and alive, and the answer lies on black liquid eye liner.
I love plump and long lashes, but for this look I want to look younger and happier. The solution is on lengthy demi-lashes so apply them on your outer corners.
Quick tips: after you apply the glue, wait for about thirty second before your put the false lashes on your lash lines so they'll dry a bit and become tacky. Applying demi-lashes is easier than applying whole lashes, so it's a good practice for beginners.
Once everything's set, curl your lashes and apply volumizing mascara on your upper and lower lashes.

Highlight your brow bone as well with matte white eye shadow and that's the eyes done.
Moving on to contouring: lightly dust the hollow of your cheeks with shimmery bronzer and shade your nose with the matte taupe eye shadow. Highlight your nose bridge with shimmery white eye shadow and don't forget your cupid's bow.
After applying rosy pink blush on the apples of your cheeks, you can add a hint of highlight on your cheek bones.
For the lips, I wanna go effortless with nude lipstick and rosy pink lip gloss (з˘ﻬ˘ε)

By the way, for the nails, I'll go with this festive abstract design :D
Love it?

And that's the finish look! A sweet yet glamorous look for New Year's Eve.
