Firstly: this is not a tutorial though actually, I'm thinking of changing the term "tutorial" starting next year, 'cause I know my so-called "tutorial" related post are not yet as advance as beauty videos on YouTube or etc. Not that I don't wanna make beauty videos, I will do loads for sure once I can buy an appropriate camera and a good set of lighting, but for now probably "How-to-Something" or "What's on My Face" suits this kind of posts best. I still have no idea, you guys tell me!
Anyway... I don't freakin' know where the hell 2013 go, but I swear that this year is the fastest year in my life so far. The time flies like crazy and Christmas is definitely coming tomorrow! All righty, I am ready to welcome 2014, then. Hence, to wrap 2013 last post, today Imma share my favorite Christmas/ Icy Season look which, to be honest, is inspired by the movie Disney Frozen. Dang, I love that film a lot, thanks to Idina Menzel golden voice.
So, without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, presenting to you the beautifully subtle Sparkling Frost.

OK, fellas, let's get rollin'.

As mentioned before, for me the key of perfect makeup is good skin. Yes, I admit that my skin gets better over the year but I;m not gonna lie that the bad under-eye dark circles have not budge yet and I still have acne scars around my forehead. Oh yes, you are not alone, no girls in this whole wide world can escape skin problem and this is the biggest reason why I always go through a set of skin care routine before applying my makeup.
Always cleanse, tone and moisturize. Three quick and simple steps makes the biggest difference. Clear skin is key of perfect canvas and trust me, your makeup will look less appealing on top of greasy or flaky skin.
I'll wait for moisturizer to set then moving on to makeup.
A polished canvas
This year I discovered the great combo. Yes, please do get excited because I finally found a freakin' good foundation and legitimately the best concealer that will stay on my face the whole day without any cakey patch. Another good thing: they are so easy to apply, clean fingers or brushes will do. To set them all, I go for a mattifying powder for my T-zone, hence giving my skin a dewy look yet far from the term 'oily'.
And here goes the exciting part.
Icy Look
Did you know that brown eyes match perfectly with blue eyeshadow? Well, I heard, but I never had the guts to cover my eyelids all in blue because I found it ridiculous on me. However, the reason why I love this icy look are actually the eyes. Though they are covered in blue eyeshadow, I strangely found them super wearable.
Basically, I prime my eyelids with bronze cream eyeshadow and blend it well through my crease with matte taupe eyeshadow. This will be my base to work with before I took a glittery baby blue eyeshadow and pat it all over my lid then blend everything again to get rid any harsh lines.
To complete the eye look, I go crazy with volumizing and lengthening mascara on top and bottom lashes.
Peachy-flush, contour, and radiant glow
OK, we are almost done. I don't do anything complicated with my cheeks, just three easy steps to add a little color on my face. Peachy blush on the apple of the cheeks, contouring with a bit of bronzer around the temple and the hollow of my cheeks, and highlighting any area needed such as brow bones, cupid's bow, bridge of my nose, and not to forget my cheek bones.
Lock everything together
I want the frozen-looking eyes to be the main focus of this makeup look, hence I decided to go with neutral lip color such as nude with a hint of peachy gloss. Very low maintenance on your pout means less hassle yet still lookin' appropriate for Christmas day.
And there you have it, a gorgeous and sophisticated icy look! Easy and beautiful, perfect for daytime or even Christmas dinner.
