Isn't it nice to look pretty without a lot of makeup on?
This "barely-there" makeup look is perfect for autumn, or even for daily look in tropical country like where I live. Plus, you will never look "overdone" with this look.
The key is, again, flawless skin. Before we start, let's put the lip balm on :)
The steps are super easy:
1. You want a healthy and moist skin for this look, so make sure to start from clean face and don't forget to tone. Use moisturizer with sunscreen as well because you don't want to put too many layers on your face.
2. My skin is considered as normal almost dry, but not around my T-zone. This was a problem for me because I had difficulties to find the right type of foundation. For this look, I use mousse foundation with a bit of shimmer in it as I want a semi-dewy finish.
Disguise any dark spots, scars, or blemishes with your favorite concealer, remember to blend perfectly with your foundation. Also, don't forget to powder to finish your canvas (it's essential to use translucent powder for this look to get non-cakey finish).
3. The next step is to define your brows. It's confession time, I have thin and short eyebrows, so I always have to cheat ;D
Use brow pencil or matte eye shadow that match your hair color (maximum a shade darker or lighter). Make it as natural as possible by following your natural eyebrows shape. Remember, this is a "barely-there" look, so you want people to learn that you don't put any makeup on.
4. We are almost done—and yes, we just skipped eye shadow and eyeliner. Curl your lashes and grab your favorite mascara (volumizing is preferable). Wiggle your wand and put a layer or two. We want to avoid those frightening clumpy mascara and note that we only want to define them, not to "false".
5. This step is optional. You can put peachy blush on your cheek bones, or highlighter, or contour your face with matte bronzer. I prefer to use highlighter on my higher cheek bones to maximize the semi-dewy finish.
6. Don't forget your lips. You can go comfortably with your lip balm or you can pick nude lipstick with creamy texture or your can swipe a bit of baby pink lip gloss on the center of your lips or even wear berry red lip stain to give your lips a healthy look.
And we are good to go! You will look effortlessly pretty all day long!
So, will you try this "barely-there" look? This is currently my favorite as it's fast and easy and naturally beautiful. Lemme know about yours and good luck!
Love,
P
PS: Keep the SPF on your beauty products low (under SPF 25, please). Higher SPF will make your face shinier :)
