I bet you've heard so many people raves about this stuff and I did, too, in case you're interested. OK, so this is gonna be my very first post about something healthy for your beauty and yes, this time you can chug it down your throat.
So I found infused water (or also known as fruit water or spa water or flavored water) good for my body, hence I share it with you. It is very simple and easy to make and tastes refreshing! Definitely makes me drink more water while cutting down those sugar filled beverage.
Interested? Basically, this are what you're gonna need to make your infused water:
When I first started making infused water, lemon is the one I rely on then I started to add everything else. You'll want to make sure that your fruits and veggies are as fresh as they could possibly be.
How to make it? Nothing can beat the simplicity.

Interested? Basically, this are what you're gonna need to make your infused water:
- Cold drinking water. I usually stay original with mineral water, but you can be as creative as you can. Sparkling or you can even use coconut water if you can find them.
- Acid fruits like orange lime and lemon, berries, apple, kiwi, cherry, pineapple, pomegranate etc. Go surf the internet for recipes, there're billions of information on fruits you can use for infused water. You can be as wild as you can as long as you use acid fruits and avoid anything like avocado or banana (though those two are my favorites!)
- Some veggies and leaves. Japanese cucumber and mint leaves are the best options (I don't wanna go wilder, not for now. I might give cherry tomatoes a try, though).
- A big pitcher or water bottle or jar. I like to use a 1 to 1,5 L water bottle per batch.
- Honey to taste, just in case you need it (this is optional, as the water tastes delicious already).

Firstly, prep your fruits and veggies. Wash them squeaky clean and place everything on a cutting board. My generous mom lend her cute pear one specially for my fruits. My basic recipe is definitely lemon, mint leaves, strawberry and cucumber because they tastes good, easy to get, and most affordable.
Next, you want to use a sharp fruit knife for a clean cut and slice up your fruits, veggies and leaves to sizes of your liking. Be very careful, though, especially for someone like me who usually play in front of a mirror and not at the kitchen, using knife is definitely harder than doing cat-eye liner!
For perfect flavor, I like to use half of a lemon, five to six thin slices of cucumber (too much cucumber can give bitter taste to your water), five to six strawberries cut in halves, and a handful of mint leaves. Lemon has natural slimming benefit and helps a lot with my digestion problem, cucumber hydrates your body, strawberry is good for your skin, and mint leaves gives you fresh breath and cooling taste to your concoction.

Chopping done, throw your fruits and veggies into your pitcher or bottle. It looks so pretty and delicious already but wait until you did the final step.
All right, so lastly, fill your bottle up with cold water and put it in a fridge for 4 hours minimum through overnight before your first drink. I love how they look, somewhat convinced me that this is the best thirst-quenching beverage the world ever invented.
So important point before I finalized this unusual post: I know it does sound very healthy from the first paragraph I typed above, but healthy is nothing instant. The first thing I felt after drinking this beverage for 2 through 3 days is better digestions system. I had digestion trouble since I was a little kid and used to take any medication. Ever since I chugged this down, it goes well naturally *wide grin. I believe continues consumption will do more good benefits to your body, so please go look up the internet for varieties of fruits and veggies you can use to make this drinks and you can practically get all of the benefits that the ingredients can provide just by drinking water.

Some frequently asked questions:
- Are you trying to lose weight? Not really, it is actually for the sake of healthier life. I spent years to lose weight and failed hundreds times, so gotta change the way I think: if you live healthy, you'll be fit anyway.
- Why don't you just eat the fruit instead putting it in water? Well, this way is cheaper in my opinion *HA HA. I love cut fruits a lot, don't get me wrong, I even love them better than ice cream. Yet, fruits can be pricey sometimes. By putting it in water, I still get all the vitamins, nutrition, and the freshness but I will need less fruits. I will drink more water as well throughout the day. I hate soda, but sometimes you can also forget to drink water, right? I found infused water is a great solution to stay hydrated because you have something cool and excited waiting to be drank.
- What is the expiration time? I've read people keep it up to 2 days, some keep it up to 3 and even 5 days. Well, I stayed with complete 24 hours maximum and you gotta keep your drinks refrigerated. After 24 hours, the strawberries will turn corpse-like (all white and funny), the mint leaves and cucumber turns darker, and the lemon will lose all of its juice by then.
- Can you eat the fruits and veggies once you've finished the water? You probably can, but I'd rather not. Who wanna consume a bunch of corpse-like strawberries?
- You make it in 1 to 1,5 L bottle, does it means you only drink 1 to 1,5 L water per day? I usually finished my first batch around lunch time every day, then I will refill the water once I'm back at the office. Obviously, the flavor will dilute every time you refill the water, so please remember to still drink your regular drinking water.
